Our Partner Investigators include world leaders in the field of optical frequency combs and contribute to the guidance of the Research themes. They are also designed to be end-users of microcomb technologies.

Professor John Bowers

John is a world-renowned pioneer of photonic chip technologies with achievements in combs for information processing, laser stabilisation and frequency synthesis.

John O’Meara

John is the Chief Scientist at the W. M. Keck Observatory and will ensure that our breakthrough microcombs are incorporated in programs using the world’s largest optical telescope.

Leif Oxenløwe

Leif is a Professor at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and will collaborate on harnessing combs for breakthrough demonstrations in optical fibre communications.

Aleksandra Foltynowicz

Aleksandra is a Professor at Umeå University and will use our microcombs to achieve breakthroughs in spectral sensing.

Roberto Morandotti

Roberto is a Professor at the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) in Canada and will partner to explore diverse applications of microcombs in quantum and singular physics.

Miro is a Senior Lecturer at The University of Auckland and has achieved breakthrough insight into the fundamental nature of soliton states of light in resonant cavities.

Michael is Co-Founder of Ligentec and represents the photonic chip foundry established to commercialise the ultra-low loss photonic chip technology.

Chris Shaw

Chris is the CEO of Advanced Navigation and will partner with us to discover how COMBS’ technology can transform inertial navigation.
