Adam manages the research and impact translation activities at the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence in Optical Microcombs for Breakthrough Science (COMBS).

Adam has a strong background in R&D, having worked as a research fellow for projects at RMIT and ETH Zurich. He has successfully won several research grants, including one with VESKI and CSIRO SIEF. He has worked with OptoTech to commercialise work into laser machining and inspection systems for the semiconductor industry, and he leveraged his research into to gas sensors to help co-found Atmo Biosciences. Adam is also the co-founder of Natural Branding Australia, helping to reduce unnecessary plastic waste for food labelling.

Adam studied a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, majoring in control systems, at RMIT University. He also completed a PhD in physics, focusing on microfluidics and optical spectroscopy for lab-on-a-chip sensors, at RMIT University. He also recently completed an Executive MBA at RMIT University.
