Shahraam is an Associate Investigator at Adelaide University. He has extensive expertise in nonlinear optical processes in waveguides, particularly optical fibres, with a strong track record in the design, modelling, and theoretical analysis of nonlinear waveguide systems. He has been collaborating with Prof David Lancaster’s team on exploring parameter regimes for stable and efficient frequency comb generation in mode-locked waveguide lasers.
Shahraam is keen to further apply his expertise in nonlinear waveguides to the generation and application of optical frequency combs, including opportunities that directly complement and extend the Centre’s research program.
