Allison is a Professor specialising in Geodesy and resilient Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT). She is currently investigating how microcombs can provide alternative PNT solutions, especially in scenarios where traditional systems like Global Navigation Satellite Systems, such as GPS, are unavailable or unreliable.

Through this research, Allison aims to develop more resilient navigation systems that can operate without dependency on satellite signals.
